DAY 1: MARRAKECH — AIT BENHADDOU — OUARZAZATE — DADES VALLEY

After a pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, further cross the High Atlas Mountains, via the dramatic Tizi N’ Tichka Pass, driving along a road that climbs up to 7,412 feet (2,260 meters) above sea level. DAY 2: DADES VALLEY — TODRA GORGE — MERZOUGA

We explore the Todgha Gorges, and enjoy a short trek along the canyons of about 300 m high. We continue to Tinijdad and Erfoud. Once you arrive in Merzouga we spot the dunes of Erg Chebbi. DAY 3: MERZOUGA SIGHTSEEING TOUR AND CAMEL RIDE

After breakfast, we explore the Sahara desert. We visit the Nomad Museum of Hassi Labied, then we listen to Khamlia musicians and we enjoy a 4×4 off-road drive around the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will take a 1hours camel ride to watch the desert sunset. You will spend the night in the Nomadic Tent in Merzouga Desert Luxury Camp. Enjoy dinner and night in Merzouga Sahara desert camp.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA — DRAA VALLEY — OUARZAZATE

Your camel guide will wake you up to watch the spectacle of the sunrise, a cup of tea, then ride back your camels to the hotel. where you will have time for a shower and a well-earned breakfast. Leaving to Ouarzazate on a different road via Rissani. We pass through Alnif, N’kob, the capital village of the Berber Ait Atta tribe, where we will stop for lunch in a traditional Kasbah with an amazing panoramic view. As far we will cross the Draa Valley one of the biggest valleys in Morocco, big with it’s huge member of palm trees. We arrive to Agdz, the old caravan route linking Marrakech to Timbuktu. Later on, we’ll pass through Ait saoun Mountains to reach Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay in a Riad/Hotel.

DAY 5: OUARZAZATE — THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS — MARRAKECH

After your breakfast, We will start the last day of our trip after breakfast. Leaving the southern deserts and palm groves, valleys and oases, we start back across the High Atlas and stop for a visit of the heritage site of Ait Benhaddou to see a Kasbah where many movies have been filmed, some you may know are Lawrence of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven and The Gladiator. This was an important trading region and is still used as part of the caravan route to transport salt from nearby saltpans.
